Malta Hands All Around celebrates 30th

Malta Hands All Around Quilt Club held a 30th Birthday party on Saturday, September 15, at the Malta Lutheran Church. The quilt club was started March 7, 1988, and by May 3, 1988, had a total of 31 club members.

Honored Charter members at the party were: Ruth Flansaas, Marilyn Breipohl, Nellie Plouffe, and Carol Pippin.

A total of 81 people registered and people from Glasgow, Chinook, Cut Bank, and Turner were among those in attendance.

A wonderful salad luncheon was served plus a 9-patch birthday cake made by Jodee Lee.

Demonstrations were given by Jodee Lee, Brother cutter machine; LeAnn Haas, Arm Knitting; Dedee Hanson, Cross-stitching; Vicki Olson, Tatting and Leatherwork; Elizabeth Stickley, Hand Applique; Donna Anvils, Hardanger; Cindi Salveson, Crocheting; and Hillary Maxwell, Wool Spinning.)

Over 100 gorgeous quilts, wall hangings, table runners, and more filled the church sanctuary. Door prizes and yard-long tickets were drawn. It was a very fun-filled 30th birthday party for everyone.
