Harriers qualify two more for State

The Dodson/Whitewater Harriers fared well at the ever tough Havre meet on Saturday, September 22.

"They did awesome," Harriers Coach Bruce Warren said. "We are feeling good about qualifying most of our team for state. We just wish we had all of our team, so we could have team scores, but that will come."

For the men, Corbin LoneBear ran a qualifying race, placing 50th with a time of 23.25. Teammate Sam Main had qualified last week. Main placed 51st at the Havre meet with a time of 23.26.

For the ladies, Bella Lawless posted a qualifying time, placing 42nd with a time of 27.12. Hannah Hanley had qualified last week. Hanley posted a Havre time of 27.52, placing 46th. Teammate Ireland Best rounded out for the ladies team, placing 49th with a time of 41.31.

"It was Bella's first meet back after being cleared and she did wonderful and Hannah stayed right beside her," Coach Warren said.

The Harriers face a tough week ahead, with meets in Hays, Frazer, and Glasgow.
