September 15, 2018

2:34 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 9am-9pm today.

9:05 a.m. Local veterinarian office reported a missing dog.

9:17 a.m. Alarm Monitoring reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; all found to be okay, someone had burned toast in an apartment.

9:48 a.m. Male reported finding a dog along Hwy 191 south of Malta and would be bringing it to Malta.

11:21 a.m. Local Ambulance transported a juvenile football player from the field to the PC Hospital.

2:17 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9pm.

3:35 p.m. Deputy reported finding a crash scene north of Malta on Hwy 191; information passed onto local MHP Trooper; case file started; vehicle later located and citations issued to the owner.

7:23 p.m. Deputy brought in a found set of keys; if you are missing a set of keys, please call 406-654-2350, to identify and claim.

7:29 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory is canceled.

8:04 p.m. Male reported a possible situation involving juveniles; information passed onto Deputies.

11:34 p.m. Local business reported an altercation between patrons and requested law enforcement at the location; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

11:48 p.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Jorgen Olson, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Assault charges.

September 16, 2018

6:09 p.m. Female reported someone mowing the grass on her vacant lot that wasn’t supposed to be doing it; Deputy handled the call; Good Samaritan talked to and continued to mow the lot.

10:23 p.m. Male reported a vehicle being driven without insurance; information passed onto Deputies.

11:21 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory for west central Phillips Co until 1215am; small hail and 30mph winds are possible.

12:29 a.m. Significant Weather Advisory for east central Phillips until 130am; 30mph winds and torrential downpours are possible.

1:04 a.m. Deputy reported a light blinking on a Malta City lift station; information passed onto City employee.

2:15 a.m. Significant Weather Advisory for eastern Phillips until 315am; 30mph winds and torrential downpours are possible.

8:10 a.m. Female reported a skunk in a basement of a residence on the golf course; golf course maintenance assisted with the situation.

9:57 a.m. Local business reported an abandoned vehicle behind their business; Undersheriff responded to the call; owner located and advised to move the vehicle or it would be towed at their expense.

10:35 a.m. Male reported damage to a fence near a pond by the Overpass on Hwy 2, east of Dodson; Undersheriff responded to the call; no vehicles or individuals located in the area.

10:46 a.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Jorgen Olson, from PCSO Jail on time served.

2:08 p.m. Male reported a female was “stuck on the new pavement” by the underpass; Undersheriff responded to the call; individual and vehicle not at the reported location or in the area.

4:18 p.m. Local business reported a theft of property; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

4:20 p.m. Female filed a written complaint regarding the resident homeless female living in a building and needed to be removed; Deputy responded to the call; female located and advised to move on.

Numerous calls and 911s received reporting scam phone calls from the IRS; callers advised the “cops” would be coming for them within the next 24hours; callers advised all the calls were scams.

5:26 p.m. Integrated Alarm Systems reported a commercial burglar alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, just resetting the door codes.

Several more calls received reporting IRS scam calls.

7:02 p.m. Male reported receiving threats from another male; Deputy handled the call.

7:50 p.m. Female reported a suspicious vehicle at the PCMS Drag Strip; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle found to be abandoned.

10:09 p.m. Female filed a verbal complaint about being harassed by a male and her adult son was also being harassed by the same male; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

September 18, 2018

1:41 a.m. Deputy advised the local homeless female, again, that she needed to move on from the location she was staying in.

7:56 a.m. Local business requested law enforcement for a civil standby while an employee who was let go collected their things from the business; Undersheriff handled the call.

8:20 a.m. Male reported an IRS scam phone call.

Several more calls received reporting messages left by the IRS; all callers advised is a phone scam.

7:07 p.m. Male reported he wanted to “press charges” for being harassed; Deputy responded to the call; information added to existing case file.

September 19, 2018

10:02 a.m. Deputy received a report of a vehicle that was “egged”; case file started.

12:42 p.m. Deputy received a report of a found cell phone; phone recovered from the caller and owner later located; phone later returned to its rightful owner.

2:57 p.m. Local MHP Trooper served a MHP-Great Falls warrant on one adult female, Shelby Lorenzen; female transported to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on that warrant; female later released on bond.

5:42 p.m. Male reported a missing puppy.

7:10 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who keeps passing out and is having chest pains; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

7:32 p.m. Female reported a vehicle in the ditch, off of Hwy 191 south of Malta; vehicle appeared to have been pushed off the Hwy and not involved in an accident; no one around the area; information passed onto Deputy.

September 20, 2018

1:45 p.m. MT Dept of Transportation employee reported an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 191 south, north of the Bear Gulch turnoff; local MHP Trooper handled the call.

5:08 p.m. Female reported a missing wallet.

5:09 p.m. 911 received reporting a moose running in a field east of Malta; caller wanted “a free vacation” for reporting the sighting.

5:32 p.m. Local business reported someone sleeping in their garbage area; Deputy responded to the call; individual located and advised to move on.

5:56 p.m. Male reported the coin water building behind Farmers & Ranchers wasn’t working; information passed onto City employee.

6:21 p.m. Female reported an “aggressive” disturbance at a local business; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, just a verbal disagreement.

September 21, 2018

3:41 a.m. Male reported a one vehicle rollover on Hwy 191 south of Malta; no one was around the area; Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; local MHP Trooper handled the crash; case file started.

4:43 a.m. Local MHP Trooper reported the abandoned vehicle on Hwy 191 south had been removed.

9:32 a.m. Female reported a lost cell phone.

11:19 a.m. Female reported a disabled vehicle on Hwy 191 south; vehicle was stopped in the middle of the driving lane; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle later found to be driving northbound, driver may have been hunting as he was all dressed in camouflage.

12:25 p.m. Lifeline reported a fall detection alarm sounding at a local residence with no response from the client; local EMT Crew responded to the call; ambulance later canceled as the client was okay and was downtown shopping.

4:00 p.m. Female reported vehicles passing in a posted no passing zone on the new oil between Malta and Saco on Hwy 2; information passed onto local MHP Trooper.

4:25 p.m. Male reported a missing dog.

5:38 p.m. An alarm monitoring company reported a commercial duress alarm sounding at a local business; Deputy and business employee responded to the call; all found to be okay, just a false alarm.

7:49 p.m. Female reported her neighbor’s dogs were “howling” for an extended amount of time; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be quiet in the area.

8:20 p.m. Male reported a vehicle/deer accident on Hwy 191 north of Malta; caller had left the scene of the accident; white form issued.

9:15 p.m. Deputy received a report of a “creepy” vehicle parked across from businesses in the downtown area; occupants of the vehicle were checked out and found to just be people watching.

9:17 p.m. Anonymous reported a male, on probation, that was in a local tavern and was intoxicated; Deputy responded to the call; information passed onto Probation Officer.
