One Nation, Under God

That was nasty

It's not Halloween yet, but I have got a horror story for you!

Well, it's not that bad, I'm being a little dramatic.

The other night, Susan and I were tuning into Big Brother on CBS in our room, watching the nominations for evictions and something terrible happened. Again, I may be a little too dramatic.

As the head of the household was putting up her nominees, I felt something touch my leg. I thought to myself “what was that?”

To my surprise and great horror, a brown house spider was sitting at the foot of my bed as if he pays the mortgage and I was inconveniencing him.

I looked at that spider said, “oh poop no.” I then proceeded to smack that spider with the back of my cell phone, thinking that I didn't want to crush it with my bare hands.

I got up out of bed and stepped back and to my surprise, that spider was just stunned and he proceeded to move.

I ran across the hallway to grab a Kleenex to discreetly remove the spider and not cause a scene that would wake up our five-month-old.

As soon as I picked up the spider, it exploded all over our newly washed bed sheet, exactly where I lay my feet every night.

I looked at Susan and calmly explained what had happened and why we needed a new bed sheet. She deferred. I then explained the situation and it became evident that Mama Bibbs was not moving.

She told me to put some socks on!

So after our little stand still, I went to the kitchen, grabbed a Clorox wipe and sanitized the area. And then as my beloved suggested, I slept in socks.

That was the worst night of sleep I had in a long time. All night it felt like something was crawling on me.

Thankfully the next day Susan washed all of our bedding.

PJ has finally started preschool. I know it's not grade school, but it was a proud day for us at the Bibbs house, because it means that our first baby is turning into a big boy.

As for Lincoln, if you haven't heard, the poor guy is on the mend from an ear infection. He is growing bigger and stronger daily, and soon it seems like he will be crawling.
