One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for October 10, 2018

Sympathy to the family of Elaine Erickson, formerly of Whitewater. Her daughter and son-in-law, Ed, just had their 11th baby; a girl! They now lived in Whitewater until recently.

Congratulations to Jamie and Jake Olie on the birth of a baby boy! Scott and Pat Anderson are proud grandparents.

Welcome back to Pastor Chad Wisher and family of Whitewater Baptist Church. His wife, Anita, as well as Jana and Sam are here in town. Connie is married and lives in South Carolina.

Congratulations to Connie and her husband on their recent wedding. They plan to visit Whitewater in two weeks. A “meet and greet” reception is being planned and the date will be announced at a later date.

There were many out of town guests at Whitewater Lutheran Church last Sunday. Nancy Jesson of Lexington, Ohio, and Fran Cover of Mount Gilead, Ohio, were here. They were visiting family and friends in the area. (Many worked at the Youth ranch years ago.) Other guests at Whitewater Lutheran were Judy and Laurie Rustad and Lolo Mathews, all of Malta. (The Rustads have had auctions for many years.) All guests were welcomed.

Late congratulations to Kyle Stenvik and bride, who married in Lewistown!

My granddaughter, Chalise Young, came home to Saco. She attended the funeral of a friend from Wolf Point who died at the age of 20. So sad.

On Friday, I met Chalise in Malta and she gave me a ride to Whitewater. We had a nice visit before she had to return to college in Bozeman.

Linda Berg and a friend from Canada attended the Husta Fest in Minot, N.D. Janice and Curt Reichelt also attended. They all have a nice time.

Happy Canadian thanks given to our Canadian family and friends.

Also, Happy Birthday and anniversaries to everyone celebrating in October.

Here in Whitewater, the weather is damp and cold. Some tree leaves are turning gold. It is autumn. (and it snowed on October 3.)

Have a nice week.

Helen A.
