One Nation, Under God

Loring News for October 17, 2018

I realized, even more, this week about how fickle our Montana weather is! If you don't like it wait a day or so and it'll change.

The Loring community extends sympathy to the Wasson family on the death of Earl. Earl lived on the North Bench farm for many years! His kids and grandkids are carrying on his legacy.

The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum board members met on Sunday.

Loring Lutheran Church will not have services on Sunday the 21st but will hold services on the 28th.

Everyone is invited to our services.

On Wednesday half of the leaves were off of our cottonwood tree in our yard. After Saturday all of the leaves are on the ground! What a wind! But we still have a few robins using out bird bath!

The Simonson girls, Kiana and Keira, were busy this weekend. Kiana and Buckshot were in the parade in Missoula and Keira were honored as a senior barrel racer for U of M at the dance! Quite an honor!

Trace Simonson, a freshman at Rocky, was awarded as development lifter of the week! And by the photo, it seems that he's getting very muscular! His grin is still infectious!

The volleyballers traveled to Circle for Saturday. They had some bad luck there, but the games were close! The cross country runners have already qualified for state which is next weekend. Good luck there, Hannah and Bella!

I stopped at the clerk of court to drop off my passport application. I know I'm close to 70 and have never had a passport. But the office was closed. So I stopped at my next place, Amestoy's! And on the lawn were a bunch of signs that said the Buzzard turns 60! Well, when I got in the office, I find out that Ed was turning 60 and his office workers had planned a huge surprise party for him! 60 black balloons, 60 shots, 60 rocks, all so fun! And guess what, that is where the clerk of court was! So I followed her over to the courthouse and got the process started!

Have you caught a glimpse of the crescent moon this week? It has been low in the west soon after sunset! But now it is higher and fuller!

Have a great week!
