Blue Ridge Brewery hosts fundraisers for Renly, Angel Program

$1 from every pint goes to Nashua infant

Malta's lone brewery, Blue Ridge Brewing, is hosting two fundraisers in the coming days, one for a Nashua infant who needs urgent care and the other for Phillips County's own Angel Program, through the Malta Food Bank, whose goal is to provide Christmas presents for children in the area.

On Friday, December 14, Blue Ridge Brewing will host "Pints for Renly," to help Renly Tate Saiz who is the daughter of Nashua, Montana's MyKayla Lauckner and Kobe Saiz. Renly was born last September and underwent surgery last Monday in Denver for Laryngomalacia, a condition where she turns blue often and has stopped breathing four times with resuscitation needed. For every pint of beer sold at Blue Ridge Brewing on the night, $1 will go to Renly's parents to help with the medical costs they are dealing with now.

If you can't make the Pints for Renly event, but would still like to help the family out in their time of need, they have a GoFund me site under "Renly Saiz's Medical Fund" or donations can be made at Wells Fargo in Glasgow or directly to the family at PO Box 81, Nashua, MT 59248.

The Malta fundraiser for Renly will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Ray J's will be selling food at the event.

The latter of the two Blue Ridge Brewing fundraisers will be held on Wednesday, December 19, and $1 from every pint sold will go toward the Angel Program in Malta. The Food Bank Angel Tree (not to be confused with the Hi-Line Retirement Center's Angel Tree, call them at 654-1190 if you would like to help purchase gifts for that facilities residents) also has an Angel Tree set up at Family Matters if you would like to purchase gifts for local children. Follow Blue Ridge Brewing on Facebook to learn more about the Angel Tree event in the coming days.
