Floyd Clayton James Azure

Zortman - It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Floyd Clayton James Azure on Sunday, December 9, 2018, due to natural causes. A Celebration of Life will be determined and announced at a later date. Condolences for the family may be left at http://www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com.

Floyd was born on March 07, 1943 in Malta, Mont., at Mary Survant Hospital.

Floyd attended elementary school in Zortman, Mont. He moved to Vancouver, Wash., at the age of 10 where he graduated high school and attended one year of college. He then went on to work construction, and then worked at Vancouver Plywood. During this time, he met and married the love of his life, Carol Jean Azure (Donahe) on May 17, 1978, now married for 40 years. The two then moved to Floyd's hometown, Zortman in August of 1980. After moving home, he worked for Zortman Mining Co. /Pegasus Gold until he retired.

Floyd was a very beloved man by all, not an enemy in sight. He had a kind, gentle soul, a heart of gold, and always a bright jolly smile. Floyd had many friends, far and wide. He was always full of laughter, jokes, harassment, and up for a good time. Floyd most of all loved his Family, the Little Rocky Mountains, the Missouri River Breaks, and everything in between. He spent his life working and doing the things he loved the most. Floyd was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding around on the prairie, playing cribbage and card games, spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends, watching wildlife in his yard, watching old Western movies, and listening to old western music.

Floyd is survived in death by wife: Carol Azure; children: Lori Nagel (Steve) and Doyle McNatt (Stephanie); four grandchildren: Stephanie, Michael, Cody, and Amber; brothers: Maynard Azure and David Azure; sisters: Amelia Rasmussen and Della Azure; and many nieces and nephews.

Floyd was preceded in death by Father: Peter Azure of Zortman, Mont .; Mother: Mary Azure (Lavadure) of Choteau, Mont; brothers: Robert Azure, Sanford Azure, and Phillip Azure; and sisters: Bernice Azure, Ethel KinKaid, and Cora Kelsey.
