Sheriff's Office no longer to offer Concealed Weapon permit classes

The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office will no longer be providing Concealed Weapon Permit Classes, but rather ask applicants to be bringing the weapon they plan on carrying concealed to the Sheriff’s Office and demonstrating to the Sheriff, or his designee, familiarity with a firearm.

“When I did a little research with how other sheriff’s offices are doing their concealed weapon permits, I decided to eliminate providing the class,” Phillips County Sheriff Jerry Lytle told the PCN.
