One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for January 9, 2019

Happy New Year 2019! Did you all make resolutions?

Many people traveled over the holidays.

Most of the Simonson children were home in Whitewater for the Christmas holidays.

Sally and Justin Austin visited family in Kremlin. Then they went to Jeanie Green’s on Christmas Eve. Later, they gathered at Sally Austin’s and those in attendance included the Reichelt family, including Kenny Reichelt of Denver, Colo. Thank you to all who gave me gifts. They were all very nice.

Christmas Eve, I met with friends and family at the Green’s. Dallas Green’s family was there also. On Christmas, I went to Saco to visit Gale and Challise. We had a wonderful Christmas.

The next day, we went to the Sleeping Buffalo Resort and had a wonderful time. Most of our family was in attendance and the pool was full.

North 40 has had many parties. There was live music and food. The Dart Club had a party before the new year there.

On December 30, Julie Cole and I went to Swift Current, Canada, to visit my daughter, Terressa. We had a good trip and a nice time. The roads were wonderful. (If you go to Canada, don’t forget your passport.)

Weather in Swift Current is usually a lot like Whitewater.

Now, here’s a true story about a Christmas miracle about our Linda Berg of Whitewater. She was sick and staying in the Phillips County Hospital. She needed blood in order to live. Linda has a rare type of blood and a match was finally found in Great Falls, but she was not able to make the trip. The Sheriff’s Office was alerted and Dan Ohl of the Montana Highway Patrol (a Malta resident) took a member of the Sheriff’s Office to Great Falls on his airplane to get the blood platelets. They saved Linda’s life! Trooper Ohl said he was glad to help and would do it again. A miracle!
