Twelve eighth graders from Malta Middle School and four from Dodson Junior High School have signed to play football at Malta High School, head coach Jim Benn announced on Friday."This is an exciting group of eighth graders who exemplify what it means to be a Malta Mustang. These sixteen signees will join thirty-seven returning letter winners, including eight offensive starters and seven defensive starters. The Malta Mustangs open the season on Friday, September 6, against the Roundup Panthers in Malta. Dodson's signees include Alex Werk, Juliun Benson, Tanner Ball, Kaleb Walker, who will be pictured in next week's Phillips County News.
