One Nation, Under God

Loring News for January 30, 2018

Strange weather for January! Rain for a good part of the day with temps in the 40's. Then the wind started blowing and goodness sakes! If it wasn't tied down, look for it in Whitewater or North Dakota!

I stopped to visit with Mary Brown Peigneux on Thursday. It's always interesting to visit with friends who I don't see very often. The people who work at the courthouse really have my admiration for the things they do!

Thursday I went to the dental hygienist, museum, and then met with the JRF board. The JRF is planning a symposium for the last weekend in June and I am hoping for lots of local people to stop by to partake in the program!

The Dingits and Dangits played basketball on Thursday evening. Many parents, grandparents and aunts, and uncles attended the games in Whitewater. It is always so fun to see the little ones learning the game!

Best wishes to Addam Henderson who has been having some health issues recently.

I saw a huge herd of antelope by Morrison's corner! I haven't seen so many pronghorns since 2010! Speaking of wildlife, I certainly get a kick out of watching the sharp tail in our yard!

Jupiter and Venus have been very close together in the eastern sky just before sunup! It's easy to see at this time of year when the sun comes up later in the morning! But only when the sky is clear!

Everyone who is interested in saving lives, plan on taking the AED/CPR class offered in Loring on Febru-ary 12. Pot luck dinner at 5:30, class starts at 6. The cost for the class is $50 each. Come learn how to use the AED machine which is pretty easy!

Only two months until Spring!
