Little Guy Wrestlers in Glendive

AAU- Three Malta Wrestlers traveled to Glendive, Montana for the MidRivers Folkstyle Invitational AAU Wrestling Tournament on March 2nd. Here are the following results.

Cameron Spencer placed 1st: Round 1- Spencer (Malta) won by decision over Demarrais (Poplar) 5-0. Round 2- Spencer (Malta) won by fall over Granbois (Poplar) 1:30. Round 3- Spencer (Malta) won by decision over Brandt (Glasgow) 9-3.

Kenan LaBrie placed 1st: Round 1- LaBrie (Malta) won by fall over Harbaugh (Baker) 0:28. Round 2- LaBrie (Malta) won by fall over Nadasi (Northeast Montana) 0:28. Round 3- LaBrie (Malta) won by fall over Cooper (Poplar) 4:29.

Lane Spencer placed 1st: Round 1- Bye. Round 2- Spencer (Malta) won by fall over Matejovsky (Wolf Point) 1:46. Round 3- Spencer (Malta) won by fall over Moos (Circle) 0:34. Round 4- Spencer (Malta) won by fall over Mills (Glendive) 1:19. Round 5- Spencer (Malta) won by fall over Huntsman (Glasgow) 1:15.

LITTLE GUY- The Great Falls Rugrats held a Little Guy Wrestling Tournament at Great Falls High on Saturday, March 2nd. Kiernan Young, Karsten Davis, and Beau Merriman all braved the weather and represented Malta in the tournament.

The Malta Little Guy Wrestling Club had a lower turnout of wrestlers this weekend due to weather. However, next weekend around 15 Malta Wrestlers will be heading to Great Falls for the State AAU tourney. The State AAU results will be posted in next weeks paper.
