March 15, 2019

11:58 p.m. Deputy reported lights left on inside of a building; Deputy checked the building and shut the lights off.

March 16, 2019

4:01 a.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle pulled over on Hwy 2, east of Malta; all found to be okay, just stopped to rest.

4:39 a.m. Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 11am for northern Phillips.

9:02 a.m. 911 received reporting a one vehicle rollover on Hwy 191 north of Malta; driver advised of no injuries; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:32 a.m. Deputy requested a tow truck for the vehicle involved in the rollover; local rotational wrecker service responded to the call.

10:11am Dense Fog Advisory is canceled.

12:24 p.m. 911 received reporting a verbal dispute over children at a Dodson residence; Deputies responded to the call; adult female left the location before Deputies arrived; juveniles were found to be okay.

5:08 p.m. Male reported high temperatures at a local business; maintenance personnel advised of the situation and handled it.

6:42 p.m. Deputies performed business walk-throughs in the downtown area.

8:35 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

March 17, 2019

3:57 p.m. Local business reported a lost dog in their parking lot; ACO handled the call.

March 18, 2019

11:14 a.m. 911 received requesting medical assistance for a female who tried to commit suicide; Sheriff, Undersheriff and local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital; case file started.

11:51 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving two family members and an assault; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

3:29 p.m. Local EMT Crew reported to the PC Hospital for a ground transport to Havre; Reserve Deputy also went with the EMT Crew.

4:24 p.m. Male reported a situation involving a neighbor and dogs in the Whitewater area; Deputies responded to the call; situation taken care of for the time being.

5:26 p.m. Deputies transported one adult male from PCSO Jail to the PC Hospital for medical evaluation; inmate transported back to PCSO Jail to finish his sentencing.

March 19, 2019

1:59 a.m. Deputies performed building security checks in the Malta area.

3:37 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Tyrell Chandler, from PCSO Jail on time served.

4:09 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with “some concerning items” he found; Deputies responded to the call; drug paraphernalia removed from the property.

8:39 p.m. Deputies performed building security checks in the Saco area.

9:20 p.m. Deputies performed building security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo area.

March 20, 2019

7:29 a.m. Male reported an electrical fire at a local residence; Deputy, Malta FD and EMT Crew responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

10:05 p.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the Dodson area.

March 21, 2019

7:41 a.m. Small Stream Flood Advisory until 730am Friday for east central Phillips Co.

10:59 a.m. Male reported a possibly deceased male at a residence west of Malta; Undersheriff responded to the call; coroner case file started.

11:49 a.m. Male reported two missing dogs.

12:30 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an unresponsive male at a local residence; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

2:24 p.m. 911s received reporting an erratic driver and that same vehicle had gone into the ditch, south of 7 Mile Road turnoff on 191 south; Deputy, Reserve Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; 911 later received requesting medical for the driver; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

4:40 p.m. Local MHP Trooper reported to Blaine Co for a crash.

5:03 p.m. Male reported a family member may have passed away at a local residence; Sheriff responded to the call; coroner case file started.

6:37 p.m. Local Ambulance reported to the PC Courthouse for the EMT class.

7:20 p.m. Female reported an injured deer in her yard; information passed onto Fish & Game Warden.

8:11 p.m. 911 received requesting a female causing a disturbance at a Dodson residence be removed from the location; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

8:42 p.m. Sheriff transported one adult female, Coleen Wing, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on an MHP-Havre warrant.

11:31 p.m. PC Road Dept reported the Regina Road is CLOSED due to flooding.

11:49 p.m. Sheriff performed building security checks in the Malta area.

March 22, 2019

2:55 a.m. Small Stream Flood Advisory is canceled for east central Phillips Co and is now a Flood Warning.

8:12 a.m. PC County Commissioner reported the Sun Prairie Road was closed due to flooding.

9:01 a.m. Dense Fog Advisory in effect until noon today for central and southeast Phillips Co.

11:40 a.m. Dense Fog Advisory is canceled.

11:49 a.m. 911 received reporting a semi truck on fire near the Pavilion; Deputy and Fire Dept responded to the call; no fire located, just very hot brakes.

1:06 p.m. Malta School employee requested PCSO assistance with a situation involving juveniles; Deputy responded to the call.

2:36 p.m. Deputy released one adult female, Coleen Wing, from PCSO Jail to exchange custody and to be transported to Hill Co Detention Center by local MHP Trooper.

3:37 p.m. Flood Watch in effect through Monday afternoon for most of Phillips Co.

6:22 p.m. Male reported finding some drug paraphernalia in his approach off of Hwy 191 north of Malta; Sheriff responded to the call and removed the items.

ATTENTION TRAVELERS

Morgan Port of Entry Hours to Change

Effective Sunday, April 14, 2019 US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) will have new operating hours at the Morgan, MT Port of Entry (POE). Current hours are September 16th-May 31st (winter hours) from 9am-6pm and June 1st-September 15th (summer hours) from 8am-9pm.

CBP’s new operating hours will be 9am-6pm daily YEAR ROUND. Only a slight inconvenience to travelers will be incurred as the Port of Turner is currently open from 9am-6am (winter) and 8am-9pm (summer). Turner POE is 130 miles to the west via US 2 and 52miles via Canada.

A Town Hall meeting will be held on April 3, 2019, 4pm at the Great Northern Conference room in Malta, MT.
