At a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, a petition signed by several residents and taxpayers of PHILLIPS COUNTY was presented to the Board requesting

An AUTO GATE will be placed at the following location:

Township 26 North, Range 28 East P.M.M.

Located in the mid point between section 15 & 16

Located on Midale Road

A by-pass gate must be provided for trailing cattle or moving machinery when necessary.

A hearing will be held on said petition on Tuesday April 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room at the Phillips County Courthouse, at which time anyone may appear either for or against the said petition.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL SCHOOL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerks of Dodson, Malta, Saco and Whitewater School Districts No. 2A-C, 14A, 12A + 12B, and 20D Phillips County, State of Montana that regular registration for the Annual School Election to be held on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019, will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019.

NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day to pick up and vote a ballot. All active and inactive electors of Dodson, Malta, Saco and Whitewater School Districts No. 2A-C, 14A, 12A + 12B, and 20D are entitled to vote at said election.

Districts No. 2A-C will conduct a Polling Place Election:

Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the polling place in order to vote, by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by notifying the county election administrator in writing of the elector’s current address in the county.

Districts No. 12A + 12B and 14A and 20D will conduct a Mail Ballot Election:

Ballots will be automatically mailed to Active Electors only. If you are a registered voter and do not receive a ballot, contact the county election office to update your information as necessary and receive a ballot.

Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing at the county election office. If you have moved, please update your registration information by filling out a new voter registration card and submitting it to the county election office. Late registration is only available through the county election office, and not the school district.

NOTICE OF ENTRY OF PRELIMINARY DECREE AND NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY

ALL WATER USERS NEED TO READ THIS NOTICE

THIS NOTICE COMPLIES WITH THE REQUIREMENTS

OF SECTION 85-2-232(3), MCA

The Preliminary Decree contains 3,969 abstracts of existing water right claims filed in the Whitewater Creek (Basin 40K).

The Decree is available for review and Water Court forms are available at these locations:

1. Montana Water Court, 1123 Research Drive, Bozeman, MT.

2. Montana DNRC, Water Rights Adjudication Office, 910 Helena Ave, Helena, MT.

3. Montana DNRC, Water Resources Regional Office(s): 222 Sixth Street South, Glasgow, MT.

4. On the internet at http://dnrc.mt.gov/divisions/water/adjudication Scroll down to Basin 40K and click on Whitewater Creek. Click on the 40K Preliminary Decree information that interests you.

OBJECTIONS

ALL OBJECTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED AT THE WATER COURT ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 3, 2019.

Objections must be filed on the forms provided by the Water Court and may be mailed to the Montana Water Court, PO Box 1389, Bozeman, MT 59771-1389.

EXTENSIONS

The Water Judge may grant a request for an extension of the time for filing objections. A request for an extension must be received by the Water Court on or before SEPTEMBER 3, 2019. Use the Water Court's form. If an extension is granted, it will apply to everyone. Any extension will be posted at the offices listed above and will be advertised once in this newspaper.

RIGHT TO APPEAL

If you do not participate in Water Court proceedings, your right to appeal an adverse decision is limited by Section 85-2-235, MCA.
