One Nation, Under God

Loring News for April 17, 2019

Happy Easter, Everyone! Jesus died to take away our sin!

Carol Lumsden hosted a Bible study on Wednesday! Connie Wasson, Cindy Clark, Whitney Blunt and yours truly gathered to study and have a business meeting. We all loved the new cupboards and countertop /Backsplash!

I made a trip to Bozeman where the Montana Dinosaur Trail facilities meet at their spring meeting hosted by Museum of the Rockies. The drive was awesome, calm, sunny, no problems! We toured the displays, enjoyed lunch and then got down to business for the upcoming year! One of the highlights for me was a special tour of the collections rooms and the lab! I saw the place where some of Elvis the brachylophosaurus at the Phillips County Museum is stored. Also saw where two of our paleontologists, Dr.Liz Freedman Fowler and Cary Woodruff, studied for their dissertations.

When we left the museum, we went out to dinner at Old Tavern then I went to my room and conked out! I picked Cary Woodruff up in the morning and we drove to Malta! Yup the Summer season is approaching for the GPDM and I'm getting excited!

Sympathy from the Loring community to the Linda Berg family. Linda passed away on Saturday after many years of battling cancer. She will be remembered for loving Easter, dropping treats on my desk for the kids that I taught every year! I know she loved making up baskets for her nieces and nephews, too. She was an awesome custodian at the Whitewater School for many years!

Keep looking up for a glimpse of Venus and Mercury just before sunup! Also, watch for migrant songbirds making the trip back to summer breeding grounds!
