One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for April 17, 2019

Sympathy to refugees at the Mexican the border. The USA is the richest country; we should help them.

Linda and Lonnie Link were at the Whitewater Christian Meeting at the North 40 on Friday. There will continue through April and all are welcome to attend.

Linda Berg’s sister Laura has been helping Linda here in Whitewater. Laura is from Canada.

Janice and Curt Reichelt were in Whitewater on Sunday checking on their farm near here. Many other farmers are getting ready to go to work also.

On Monday, I visited my daughter Gale in Saco. Gale and I watched a video titled “I Can Only Imagine.” It was sad but had beautiful songs. Gale and I ate at Pip’s Diner in Saco. I had ridden to Saco with Jeanie Green and Patty Young. Then, those two traveled on to Glasgow where they visited niece Julie Cole.

Jeanie and I were also celebrating our birthdays. Thanks to all who gave me gifts and happy birthday to April birthdays.

Shout out to Taylor and Adam Hellie on their mini-farm here in Whitewater. The farm has baby goats, sheep, chickens, a calf, and a new pet pig! (A regular petting zoo.) Great!

Congratulations to engaged couples Alaina Cole (whose wedding is in July) and Kalvin Reichelt whose wedding is in September. (Kalvin is the son of Janice and Curt.) Congratulations to all April anniversaries, too.

The UPS and FedEx trucks both come to Whitewater daily: A great service to the community.

The school carnival is April 25 and starts at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Whitewater Lutheran Church has Maundy Thursday service. Then, on Easter morning, a church breakfast at 10 a.m. and service at 11:15. All are welcome.

Happy Easter to all.

Helen A.
