Dino-tastic displays at Malta Elementary School

Once again, the students in Mrs. Veit's and Mrs. Blunt's second grade classrooms at Malta Elementary School have had a very busy week becoming paleontologists.

Mrs. Blunt reports that this is the 15th year for the children's Dino Museum Reports and Displays. After spending time researching in various books and getting info from the computer, the students wrote reports and made drawings of their particular dino.

This year's special showing was held in the gym, giving them more space than the classroom did previously. Some of the students displayed various fossils and dino eggs, while others wrote detailed books about their dino. Many drew large posters and gave oral reports happily sharing their info with others.

Visitors were able to see Spinosaur fossils, dino eggs, and some great drawings of stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, and others. Although it is too late to visit this year's display, come next spring where you will learn all about various dinosaurs and even how to pronounce Parasaurolophus, Chasmoesaurus, and Ceratosaurus.

There's likely to be an eager junior paleontologist close by ready to share some fascinating info.
