Sheriff's Office seeking info on shots fired at off-duty deputy

On the evening of Sunday, April 28, 2019, at a little after 10 p.m., an off-duty Phillips County Sheriff’s Deputy and his father were fishing near Cree Crossing. An unidentified pickup drove to the area, shined what appeared to be a predator light at both the Deputy and his father, and then fired two shots into the water near the men. The off-duty Deputy yelled at the vehicle and it sped away. Any information as to the identity of the individual(s) can be reported to the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office at (406) 654-2350.
