April 25, 2019

1:55 a.m. 911 received reporting a male “beating” on another male at a Dodson residence; Deputy and Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started; victim advised he was okay; male removed from the residence without further incident.

12:51 p.m. Deputy served a local warrant on one adult male, Chanyng Stevenson; male released on bond paid and given a Notice to Appear in Justice Court.

2:53 p.m. Male reported seeing smoke east of Malta; caller advised was a reported controlled burn.

4:25 p.m. Medical Alert requested an ambulance for an unresponsive medical alert; local EMT Crew responded to the call; found to be a false alarm, no one was at the residence.

7:26 p.m. Male reported poisoned livestock; Deputy responded to the call; situation unfounded.

April 26, 2019

9:55 a.m. Deputy performed building security checks in the downtown area.

10:51 a.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle/sign accident near the Underpass; Deputy responded to the call; white form issued.

11:28 a.m. Deputy reported a dog running loose; owner later located.

2:57 p.m. Female reported a vehicle tailgating at high speeds on Hwy 191 south, headed towards Malta; written complaint form received; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and citation issued.

8:19 p.m. Sheriff performed building security checks in the Saco area.

April 27, 2019

1:46 a.m. Sheriff performed building security checks in the Malta area.

2:58 a.m. Winter Storm Watch in effect from late tonight through Sunday evening for southwest Phillips Co; 2-4 inches of accumulation is possible.

1:16 p.m. Reserve Deputy transported one adult female, Chelsee Groller, from PCSO Jail to Valley Co Detention Center to serve time on sentencing.

2:15 p.m. Blizzard Warning in effect from 3am-midnight Sunday for most Phillips Co; up to 2inches of accumulations is possible.

3:21 p.m. Ft Belknap LE requested PCSO assistance with a vehicle pursuit on Route 11 headed towards Hwy 191 south; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; PCSO assist later canceled as the vehicle went back onto the reservation.

3:39 p.m. Male reported a Hit and Run to a trailer; minimal damage to the trailer; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

7:01 p.m. Female reported suspicious activity at the Sleeping Buffalo; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, just driving around looking for a place to hold a birthday party for kids.

11:07 p.m. Male reported a vehicle driving with a locked-up tire that was also flat; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and a local rancher came to the assistance of the driver.

April 28, 2019

12:09 a.m. 911 received reporting a fight in progress at a local tavern; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

12:34 a.m. Deputy transported one adult female, Stephanie Lefdahl, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Assault charges.

1:24 a.m. 911 received reporting a one vehicle rollover on Hwy 2, east of Dodson; caller advised no one was around the area; Deputies and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; case file started.

3:07 a.m. Blizzard Warning remains in effect until midnight for all of Phillips Co.

10:18 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a family member “who breaks into her apartment”; Undersheriff handled the call.

12:19 p.m. Local apartment complex manager reported two individuals trespassing in an apartment; Undersheriff responded to the call; females left the location on their own accord and were given a warning.

2:58 p.m. Blizzard Warning remains in effect until midnight.

6:09 p.m. Female reported a family member was stuck on Route 66; Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; vehicle later removed from its location.

6:26 p.m. Female filed a complaint regarding another female breaking into the caller’s residence; Deputy responded to the call; suspected female was never in the reported area.

6:51 p.m. Blizzard Warning is canceled for northern, central and southeastern Phillips Co.

8:58 p.m. Male reported a train blocking the Stine’s crossing for an extended amount of time; information passed onto BNSF Police.

11:13 p.m. Off-duty Deputy reported a shooting near the Milk River north of Nelson Reservoir; case file started.

11:50 p.m. Blizzard Warning is canceled for southwest Phillips Co.

April 29, 2019

5:41 a.m. 911 received requesting assistance in getting a message to a care provider; Undersheriff responded to the call; provider located and message given.

5:15 p.m. Deputy released one adult female, Stephanie Lefdahl, from PCSO Jail on bond; female given a Notice to Appear in Justice Court.

7:27 p.m. Anonymous reported two juveniles driving a golf cart in the Hillcrest area; caller advised neither had driver’s licenses; Deputy responded to the call; juveniles located and advised to park it for the night.

8:15 p.m. Male reported a possibly poisoned animal; Deputy handled the call.

9:38 p.m. Female requested a welfare check on a family member who wasn’t answering their phone; Deputy and local MHP Trooper responded to the call; male located and was okay.

April 30, 2019

8:30 a.m. Female reported a two vehicle accident at a local convenience store; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

12:34 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with not being able to leave a property north of Malta; Sheriff responded to the call; found to be a civil dispute and situation taken care of without further incident.

12:44 p.m. Female requested assistance with getting stray cats removed from her residence; information passed onto ACO.

1:25 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with removing flares from a garage; Undersheriff handled the call.

2:23 p.m. Female requested assistance with an abandoned boat and trailer parked at her residence since last fall; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised to remove the vehicle.

2:30 p.m. Male reported a Social Security phone scam.

7:44 p.m. BNSF employee reported the Stine’s crossing would be blocked for an extended amount of time while they do repair work to the crossing; information passed onto Deputy.

9:06 p.m. Female filed a verbal complaint regarding a possible probation violation by her husband; information passed onto Deputy; situation was unfound.

May 1, 2019

9:29 a.m. Deputy served a local warrant on one adult male, Christopher Parker; male later released on bond.

10:40 a.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with old blasting caps in a vehicle; Sheriff handled the call.

1:57 p.m. Deputy performed a traffic stop which led to one adult female, Angela Stolem, being transported to PCSO on Driving While Suspended charges; female later released with a Notice to Appear in Justice Court.

2:29 p.m. Male reported a fire south of Bowdoin; fire confirmed to be a reported and controlled burn.

2:44 p.m. Male reported a stolen vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

2:52 p.m. 911 received reporting an erratic vehicle on Hwy 2, westbound from the Sleeping Buffalo area; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle located and driver, Ryan Baxter, transported to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on DUI charges; case file started.

3:23 p.m. Male reported a piece of 4x4 in the driving lane on Hwy 2, west of Saco; Deputy responded to the call and removed the 4x4.

4:35 p.m. Female reported an erratic semi truck and trailer traveling westbound from Glasgow; information passed onto Deputies; vehicle not located.

6:19 p.m. 911 received reporting a fire in the railroad tracks east of Saco; Saco and Hinsdale FDs responded to the call; fire controlled and extinguished.

7:10 p.m. Male reported missing livestock; information passed onto Deputies.

May 2, 2019

5:20 a.m. 911 received requesting a male be removed from the caller’s house as “he is cooking up all my food”; Sheriff and Deputy responded to the call; male removed and given a ride to his own residence.

9:40 a.m. Individual reported a deer stuck in a fence, north of Malta off of Hwy 191; local Fish and Game Warden responded to the call; deer located, humanely euthanized and removed from the fence.

11:16 a.m. Female reported a male standing by a post off of Hwy 191 south near the DY Junction; second call about this same male reported he may have been in an accident; Deputy, local EMT Crew and MHP Trooper responded to the call; male transported to the PC Hospital; MHP handled the crash; case file started.

2:05 p.m. Deputy released one adult male, Ryan Baxter, from PCSO Jail on bond.

4:01 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

7:59 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with an eviction notice; Deputy handled the call.

8:53 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 10am-9pm Friday.

May 3, 2019

12:17 a.m. Female reported a suspicious male at a local bar, second call stating male is acting weird in the street, Deputy and Border Patrol Agent responded, male escorted to his hotel room.

5:10 p.m. Local parent requested increased patrol at Malta grade school playground area; information passed on to Deputies.
