After numerous town hall meetings across the Hi-Line — including two well-attended meetings in Malta — the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has decided to not cut the hours at several northern Montana ports of Entry, including the Port of Morgan located in Phillips County’s Loring.
Earlier this year, the CBP announced that it was looking to reduce the hours at the Port of Morgan and was met with heavy resistance from local farmers, ranchers, and sports racing enthusiasts as well as local and national politicians and people from Canada.
