One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for May 29, 2019

The Whitewater Class of 2019 held a baccalaureate followed by graduation on May 17.

Baccalaureate service was at Whitewater Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Haag (a former Whitewater resident) officiating.

The graduation ceremony was at the Whitewater School. And the guest speaker was Orvin Solberg, pastor of Elim Lutheran Church. The two proud graduates were Bella Lawless and Petya Rozalinova, our exchange student from Spain. (She will return to Spain soon.) Congratulations and good luck to all the graduates.

Eighth grade students from Whitewater who will enter high school next year are Kendra Cummings and Kora LaBrie.

Congratulations to Erika Nagy of Malta who also graduated from high school (she is the daughter of Pastor Bob and Julie Nagy.)

Here in Penguin Country, farming is in full swing. It rained, so it is too wet nw.

Recently, Gale Y. (mu daughter) and I went to Havre, Mont. (Note: All the shopping there is almost gone. K-Mart, my favorite, Herberger’s, Sears and Sally Ann’s Thrift Shop have all closed.)

Have a nice Memorial Day. I will put flowers on my family members' graves.

Helen A.
