One Nation, Under God

Loring News for June 26, 2019

The rain came! I don't keep an almanac, but I don't think it has rained as much in June for five years or so. It really was a welcome rain! I've heard that we got more than 2.5 inches!

Happy summer! We did not get snow on the summer solstice, but some places in Montana did. The temperatures were in the low fifties and upper forties! Chilly!

Rick and Mary Stordahl of Billings pulled their camper into our yard on Friday and stayed until Sunday. David and Brandie, Rocco Stordahl and Jacob Wilcox also stayed here. Rod’s family, Jeannie, Saige and Zoey and Brentton and Abby Harpol stayed at Rodney’s home along with a friend, Scott and his wife.

Bev and Louie Haagenson, Billings, Jim Stordahl, Great Falls, Tom Stordahl's sister, and brother, came up for the services along with Jim, Jr. and Kari Stordahl, Tammy and Allan Ulsted, Cindy and Greg Nass, Jenny and Chris McMullen. My relatives included Theresa Cowan, Tim Cowan, Rusty, and Tracy Cowan, Keith and Sarah Cowan and Tessa, Scott and Ross Cowan, Debbie and Ayden Richau, Dee, Jessie, and Vivian Arndt! What a wonderful gathering to celebrate Tom’s life!

The Loring Annual Community Picnic was held on Wednesday! Because of rain, it was held in the Loring Hall. There was a nice attendance, but I'm sure some of the roads might have kept some people home.

The town of Loring is groomed to the nines! Thank you to the Loring Woman's Club and David Clark!

Loring Lutheran Church will hold services on June 30 at 9. And just like that June is gone!
