Milk River Gospel Jamboree hits Malta this week

The public is invited to attend the 18th annual Milk River Gospel Jamboree at Malta High School starting on Friday, Jun 28 at 5 p.m., running through the weekend and including performances at 10 churches in Phillips County on Sunday.

This year’s Gospel Jamboree features Tim Lovelace, The Browns, Daae Family, Josiah Mullins, Lost and Found, Mighty Power Singers, Mahlstedt Family, and Bruce Rawling. Each group and performer will be performing once each day of the Jamboree.

Tim Lovelace, who was featured last week in the pages of the PCN, is a Grammy and Dove nominated artist who is a story teller, musician and comedian.

The Browns — Shelly, Michaela, Adam, and Andrew — received the prestigious honor of Top 10 Mixed Group of the Year four years in a row and have been touring across the United States since the group began its full-time ministry fifteen years ago. The heralded group began on the local and state level and has expanded and grown into a national touring group.

The Daae Family are a 4th generation family group, with tight harmonies and full live-band accompaniment. You'll enjoy their varying styles of gospel music.

The Mahlstedt Family has its roots in Cokato, Minn., where both Dean and Lorna grew up and the past ten years or so, the Mahlstedt Family has been delighting audiences with their Bluegrass renditions of songs old and new, tight harmonies, and ever improving picking.

The Milk River Gospel Jamboree, founded in 2011, is a non-profit 501C, created to bring Gospel music to north central Montana. For more information on the Milk River Gospel Jamboree or this year’s acts, visit the website at http://www.mrgjamboree.org or call 406-654-1292.
