Loring New for July 3, 2019

What a wonderful week of summer weather! After the rains of last weekend, the bright sunny days were welcome, but then we'd have a thunderstorm in the afternoons right up until Saturday. The crops grew overnight after that first big lightning and thunderstorm! And don't tell Mick, but I love seeing the blooming peas in his field! Won't be long before a few peas will be included in my lunch!

Kenna Joy Slade was baptized into the Lord's family at the Loring Lutheran Church on Sunday. She is the daughter of Jim and Jonnae Slade. Carmen and Matt Norville are her sponsors.

Carol Lumsden, Whitney Blunt, and Carmen and Matt Norville along with all of the Lumsden grandkids attended the Annual Wine and Dino festivities on Friday. My whole week was centered around the Symposium and Wine and Dino activities.

With the symposium, I visited with so many interesting people! I am so proud of our crew for the way everything came together! Cary Woodruff brought together 20 researchers who have made discoveries about Fossils in the Judith River Formation. The list is pretty impressive including David Evans, Jack Horner, Phil Curry, David Trexler, and Mark Loewen.
