Boating accident sends man to Denver hospital

On Thursday, July 4, 2019, the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a boating accident at Nelson Reservoir near Sleeping Buffalo Resort. An ambulance, a Deputy Sheriff, and a Montana Fish and Game Warden were dispatched to respond to the incident. The reporting party said an adult male had been badly injured by the prop of a motorboat. The victim was being transported in a private vehicle and requested an ambulance meet them between Sleeping Buffalo and Malta.
