As concerns about speeding automobiles around the City of Malta continue to worry local residents, Malta Mayor John Demarais asked the Malta City Council to consider budgeting for the purchase of mobile, radar speed indicator signs that could be used at trouble areas around the city, including parks, daycares, near schools and on Highway 2 near Dairy Queen.

Mayor Demarais showed the Malta City Council Aldermen printed pictures of the signs similar to ones used in Glasgow, but smaller than those used when entering that town from the West.
