Prizes awarded on the night went to Anna Lee Reynold Smooth of Huston, Tex., for coming the furthest, Swede Anderson for being married the longest, and Genevieve Wekander Thurber for having the grayest hair. Mr. and Mrs. George Tout arrived in the City. Mr. Tout, who has seen considerable service in the war, was to be employed in the Malta Call Office.

William Newhouse of Wagner had been elected manager of the Farmers Elevator to replace Sam Winkenweider who resigned.

Carloads of farmers from the dryland areas on the Hi-Line were en route to North Dakota to secure employment in the harvest fields.
