Willard Mortenson's family, daughter Diana, husband, and two grandchildren came to spend the day with Willard to help celebrate his 90th birthday on Sunday. They brought a cake and several neighbors from the north country came to help celebrate Willard's day after church.

Edward and Polly Solberg are having several windows replaced in their house.

Polly enjoyed helping with the Bible School this week although there were not too many who came.

Several kids of Wink and Terri Cole's came home again this weekend to put new sheetrock etc. up in the basement after they repaired the cement last week.

It has been terribly hot and dry this past week. No rain, but so far we haven't had fires as there have been in some places.

The Fair is coming up fast. Thursday is entry day so we hope everyone has been busy. Trailers have started coming in to park. If this dry heat continues it will be typical fair weather.

Lots and lots of large hay bales are seen in the fields this last week. Hope all the crops are as good.

Dora Henry and Barb Tremblay were in Havre shopping on Monday.

Condolences are sent to the families on the reservation for the several deaths of some of the young people. Sad to think of how depressed they must have been.

Hard to believe school will be starting again in approximately three weeks. Where was summer?

Birthday greetings are sent to Wesley Olson, Bea Cole and Molly Minugh and all others having a birthday this week. Congratulations are sent to Edmund and Gloria Mortenson as they celebrate their wedding anniversary.
