High speed chase ends with arrest in Malta last Tuesday

Phillips County Commissioner and owner of Tippy Towing, John Carnahan, prepares to tow a car away that was used in a high speed chase last week in Malta.

On the evening of Tuesday, July 30, the Phillips County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a phone call from the Fort Belknap Police dispatch stating their officers were in a pursuit with a vehicle at speeds up to 110-miles per hour heading east on US Highway 2 towards Phillips County. Deputies Nico Myers, Johnny Morgan, Jesse Niehoff, along with Undersheriff Kevin Metcalf responded to assist in the pursuit.

Speeds of the pursuit ranged from 60-miles per hour to over 100-miles per hour in Phillips County. The subject drove to a local residence in Malta and was taken into custody and...
