One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News and Opinion for August 28, 2019

Congratulations to Ashley Green on being named the new Postmaster in Whitewater. It’s a good job.

Again, happy birthday to all August birthdays, including Sally Austin, Mitchell Moore (my son), Chalise Young, my granddaughter, and Pat Anderson.

There was a birthday party for Pat at the North 40 recently.

Carrie and Jesse Simonson have had six foster children besides their own son. Now all the children are in school.

Ben Parker’s mothers has been visiting family and friends here in the Whitewater area.

Janet Brown’s girls and my nieces Carol and Elizabeth are in Peru, South America! What a trip.

Whitewater Penguins are in school and busy. The school busses are running and the cooks are serving breakfast and the cooking staff is the same as last year.

In sports, the Mavericks and Lady Mavericks consist of Whitewater, Saco, and Hinsdale schools and they are beginning volleyball, and cross country. Good luck to them.

Harvest is in full swing in the Whitewater country, as in the rest of the county. The weather has been beautiful, which helps the farmers.

There have been airplanes overhead. Also, there has been lots of trucks, cars, trailers, and even some boats have been on road (the bots on trailers of course.)

Labor Day is approaching. Enjoy the last summer holiday like the upcoming Saco Fun Days and or the Milk Wagon Wagon Train. I’ll see you there if the Good Lord’s Willing and the creek doesn’t rise.
