One Nation, Under God

Loring News for September 4, 2019

And just like that, August is gone and September is here! The buck deer are starting to lose their velvet, the kingbirds have migrated and the grass has gone to seed!

Wednesday, as I was waiting for dinner with the paleontologist crew, I visited with Davy Dunbar and Dixie Moore. Dixie was on the way to the wagon train to drive Scotty's little buggy on the trip. Davy was going to support her as an outrider! It would be an emotional but exciting trip!

Also visited with Shorty Seel and his lovely mother, Faye. It has been a long time since I saw him, maybe when the class of '66 had a reunion. He was in my brother's class!

Harvesting might get started again after a few days of drying out! Just never can get the crop in without being interrupted at least once! But we still have a crop to harvest out.

Northern lights watch this weekend! Be watching for migrating songbirds during September, providing food for their long trip.

Paula Morrison's friend, Kathy Girard of Billings, visited for a few days. They picked vegetables at the colony and then ground zucchini for zucchini bread among all the visiting moments!

Beau Simonson will be playing football with the Mustangs on Friday night in Malta. Good luck! Also good luck to Kia Wasson who plays volleyball with the Mavericks.
