Ann Irene (Heiken) Holman

Ann Irene (Heiken) Holman went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 22, 2019, after a long and courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis.

Ann was the firstborn child of Carl and Irene (Jordan) Heiken on June 7, 1953 in Billings, MT. Ann grew up on the Buffalo Trail Ranch south of Broadview, MT. She attended school in Broadview, where she graduated in 1971. Ann continued her education at Eastern Montana College (MSU Billings), graduating in 1975 with a BS degree in Early Childhood Education.

She married John Holman on November 2, 1974. After Ann had completed school, they moved about, from Dodson, MT, to south of Jordan, back to Phillips County and Malta, MT where they resided until April 2017. Minot, ND was their next new place of residence.

Ann was a school teacher, substitute teacher and a tutor for a few years. Later she provided daycare for many children in Malta. She attended and/or hosted a ladies bible study for forty years. A devoted friend and a loving mother, she was always prepared to give advice or offer comfort to those around her. She loved people, trees, birds, flowers and the change of seasons. Ann always enjoyed making others feel good. She wrote letters and birthday cards and will always be remembered for giving embroidered gifts to those she loved on special occasions.

Ann is survived by her husband John, son Nick (Shannon) Holman, daughter Pam (Jake) San Antonio, grandchildren Grace and Cooper Holman, Isaac, Nola and Ruby San Antonio, brothers Joe (Jeralee) Heiken, Roy (Diana) Heiken, sisters Judy (Doug) Singleton, Lynn Wilkins and mother Irene (Heiken) Schoenbaum. Also, survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, other family & friends. Ann was preceded in death by her father Carl Heiken.

There will be no reviewal visitation as cremation has taken place, however, friends and family may sign the guest register prior to the service.

Mass services will be 10 am, Sept.13, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2055 Woody Dr. off of Colton Blvd, Billings, MT.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas in Billings, MT, St. Mary's in Malta, MT or The Denver Hospice, Denver, CO.
