Rhythm and Ramble opens '19-'20 NAN concerts in Malta Sept. 30

The Northeastern Arts Network is pleased to present the 2019-20 Big Sky Concert Series to our community and this year's series features a kaleidoscope of musical entertainment as part of this art organization's ongoing commitment to provide quality entertainment to the community with a variety of shows that will appeal to every interest!

Join us on Monday, September 30 for Rhythm and Ramble. Rhythm and Ramble is a jazz combo based in Bozeman, Mont. Featuring Colby Tinsley (Clarinet/Sax) and Tyler de Cassuin (Guitar). This acoustic swing group was founded upon a shared passion for pre – war American Jazz. They are also a dance band.

Then, on November 4 we proudly present Creole artist Dennis Stroughmatt. Passionate ambassadors of Creole music and traditions, expanding interest and excitement in a region that has been largely ignored, their medley of music, language, stories and culture were secreted away in the Missouri and Southern Illinois Ozarks. With the blessing of the Creole people of the Midwest, Dennis Stroughmatt et l'Esprit Croele play the energetic music from this area!

Seffarine joins the series on February 3rd. Led by Moroccan singer Lamiae Naki and oud/flamenco guitarist Nat Hulskamp. Repertoire varies from classical Arabic and Andalusion music to original compositions influenced by music from a variety of cultures including Spanish Flamenco and American Jazz.

The Gothard Sisters closes the series on March 23th. The Gothard Sisters are a dynamic musical group of three sisters who play contemporary Celtic music. Blending Celtic, folk, classical, world and northwest influences, the Gothard Sisters bring songs to life with violin, acoustic guitar, mandolin, bodhran, djembe and vocal harmonies, creating captivating and heartwarming music.

All concerts are held at Malta High School auditorium beginning 7 p.m. Season tickets can be purchased at the door: adults $45, senior $40, and students $35. The Big Sky Series is made possible in part by the Montana Performing Arts Consortium Presenter Development Program which is supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Montana Arts Council, a legislative grant from Montana's Cultural Trust and the Western States Arts Federation.
