Malta goes 2-2 at Chinook Tourney

The Malta M-ettes fared well at the Chinook Invitiaitonal Tournament last Friday, September 6 through Saturday, September 7, despite going going 3-8 at the event.

In pool play, the M-ettes lost to Chinook 24-25 and 9-9 in the opening game. They would go on to loss to Shelby 18-25 and 15-12. Malta lost to Geraldine/Highwood 9-25 and 20-20. They would pick up a win over Valier, winning both sets 25-17 and 16-13.

Thanks to their cumulative score, Malta went on to secure the 4th seed in the ten team tournament. Malta defeated CJI in two sets. The scores were 25-12 and 25-21.

Malta would go on to lose to Glasgow 16-25 and 12-25.

The team was again pitted against Valier and dropped the first set 24-25. Malta bounced back to win the second set 25-13 and the third set 15-6.

Chinook would eliminate Malta, defeating the M-ettes in the sets; the score 16-29, 25-19, and 9-12.
