Sara Jean Standfill

HARLEM- Sara Jean Standfill 75, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Care Center Sunday, September 22, 2019. Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2019, 10:00 A.M. at Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Graveside interment to follow in the Matte/Bear Cemetery near Dodson.

Jean as she liked to be called was born November 3, 1943 in Chester South Carolina to Jason and Geneva Elkins. She met the love of her life Gerald called (Jerry) in May 1962 and married that love on May 12, 1962. They were married for 57 years. Jean lost that love of her life on March 29, 2019 her heart was broken. They had five children and settled in Seattle Washington where Jean worked for Amway for many years, then in Housekeeping and Laundry at Various hotels in the Seattle Area.

Jean loved the Seattle mariners along with her late husband you would always find them watching and cheering on their home team.

Jean lost the love of her life on March 29, 2019 she also lost in March her Brother -in- law and new born Grandchild.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Jason and Geneva Elkins, husband Gerald B Standfill, children Sara Dean and Jason Standfill, grandson Anthony, and great granddaughter Riley. Siblings Freddy, Carol, and Jim Elkins.

Jean is survived by her children daughters Cathy (Robert) Bear of Harlem Montana, Tammy Standfill of Savannah Georgia and son David Standfill. Eight grandchildren Bobbie Jean, Robert, Raven, Nick of Montana, and Carmen, Sean, Thomas and Seannah of Georgia. Six great grandchildren Exavier, Isaac Mazie, and Madalie of Montana, Aj, and Darrius of Georgia.

Adoptive daughter Bessie of Seattle Washington, Adoptive grandchildren Stephanie Rachel, Kelani, Gaberiel, Noah and all of Washington. And numerous nieces and nephews.
