Saco School Celebrates Johnny Appleseed's Birthday

On September 26, Sue Winstead came into Saco School to do an amazing hands-on project with grades 2-5 to celebrate Johnny Appleseed's Birthday. They made apple pies! Each student was carefully guided in peeling their apples, cutting them to bite sized bits, rolling their own dough, to even crimping the crust. They then had to patiently (or not so patiently) wait for their personal pies to bake and then to devour afterwards. This is a birthday to remember!
