Whitewater students in Mrs. Gail Wilcott's fourth classroom designed and decorated birthday cards to send to James South, a proud WWII veteran, who lives in Watauga, Tex.
James' wish is to receive 100 cards for his 100th birthday on October 7. Mrs. Ashley Green, Whitewater Postmistress, relayed James' request to Mrs. Wilcott after seeing a news broadcast about the soon-to-be centenarian. Whitewater's fourth and fifth grade students were more than excited and willing to help James' desire come true!
