Loring News for October 16, 2009

Happy Columbus Day! It sounds like the Heritage Day celebration was successful in Malta. Jay and Whitney Blunt were among the celebrants from out here. We had our second snowstorm on Monday and I'm hoping it's the last for a few weeks! I've had two great horned owls in my trees for a few days. The soft hoot in the evening and mornings is reassuring to me. I’ve seen several Hawks raiding the branches of my pine trees too!
