Dodson News for October 30

Cold temperatures pushed by winds were present in our community again for most of the week and the weekend. Other places like Billings received several inches of new snow, Helena and places west received inches of new snow and were again cold. Brrrr……...

The county crew has been busy rebuilding the bridge across the canal in town and the culverts for the Dodson Creek drainage. Everyone must still go around to the south or up on Highway 2 to get from one end of town to the other. Age and water had just worn the old ones out. We thank them for working this kind of weather and will be glad when they are finished.

Continued get well-wished are sent to Willard Mortenson and hope he is feeling better.

Remember to set your clocks back one hour this Sunday for daylight savings time. The days are already so much shorter.

Remember to send your mail-in ballots for the city elections in.

Rob and Holly Williamson have a new grandson.

Congratulations parents and grandparents and good luck for the new babe, we hope he continues to do well.

Congratulations to all having birthdays and celebrating an anniversary these cold days.

Be careful to all the little trick or treaters coming around this week. They will be bundled up pretty good.

Word has been received that former resident and superintendent Nellie Sherman has moved to Big Sky Senior Living in Butte. Her new address is Nellie Sherman, 113 Waterford Drive-----Butte, Montana 59701. We hope she will be happy in her new home.

Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground. Families are like fudge — mostly sweet, with a few nuts...
