One Nation, Under God
Whitewater Elementary grades kindergarten through fifth grade spent Friday, October 25 in Malta touring the PC Fire Department, First State Bank, PC Sheriff's Office, and the PC Library.
At the fire department, students experienced spraying water from a fire hose as well as donning the safety gear our firemen wear. Receiving a personalized piggy bank with $1 thrilled Whitewater's children while at the bank.
A lot of great questions kept the sheriff's deputy readily answering and explaining his role in law enforcement.
Students learned library etiquette, and older students read books to the younger students in our county's library.
At each location, students were given mementoes to remember their visits. As an added bonus, students gobbled up their mini blizzards while at Dairy Queen.
Whitewater Elementary wishes to thank all those people who took time out of their busy schedules to provide us with great learning opportunities, especially Mike Flatt, Josh Newman, Sharon Young, Deputy Niehoff, Dispatcher Colleen Kautt, and Janine Brookie.
