One Nation, Under God

Hey! It's 'Soup Time'

As the leaves turn and begin to fall it signals SOUP TIME!! at the Malta Senior Center, Saturday, November 16, from 11:30-1:30.

Many varieties will fill the air with delightful aromas and delicious desserts to round out the fall meal.

Some soups will be potato-corned beef, cream of chicken with vegetables, vegetable beef, and hamburger mac, roasted butternut squash, Velveeta cheese with sausage, to name a few. Slices of bread accompany the soups if one chooses not to have the usual crackers.

Again, it is a free-will offering and it is going towards the rest of the window installation, hopefully yet this fall.

The drawing for, not one, not two, BUT THREE “ANYTHING GOES” baskets will be Saturday, November 16 during the soup meal. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door or from a senior member.

The board of directors set the date for the annual BISCUITS AND GRAVY event which kicks off the fundraisers for 2020, WOW, can’t imagine that number already. Saturday January 11 is the day, so mark your calendars.

The group takes February off for fundraising and begins in March with Corned Beef and Cabbage to honor St. Patrick’s Day. April features yet another soup luncheon and this closes the first half of the year for fundraisers.

The Friday bingo has proved to be as popular as ever and anyone can come to enjoy the game each Friday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.

Be thinking about getting your 2020 dues paid which are $15 and well worth the price.
