Investigation underway after 18-year-old found deceased on Highway 2 in Phillips County

On Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 12:49 a.m., the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a pedestrian had been struck on US Highway 2 near mile marker 501, approximate a quarter mile from the Phillips County and Valley County line.
Phillips County Sheriff Jerry Lytle, Deputy Drake Molina, and Reserve Deputy Bruce Metcalf responded to the call as well as Montana Highway Patrol Trooper David Moon, Valley County Sheriff Tom Boyer, Valley County Sheriff’s Office personnel, and the Hinsdale Ambulance.
