One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for December 11, 2019

First letters have been sent out for another All Dodson School Reunion for July 31 and Aug. 1 &2, 2020 while the fair is in session. Anyone who did not get a letter but have been associated with the Dodson School in any way may contact Bonnie Lankford, Box 87, Dodson, MT., 59524.

Bill Henry came and took his mom, Dora, to Havre for Thanksgiving. Due to closed roads and bad weather other siblings could not make it up for Thanksgiving from Choteau, but a carload drove up and spent Saturday at Bill's. This included Kelly Leys of Belgrade, Kristi and Kortni Wilson of Whitehall, Roper Leys of Choteau, and Callie and Declan Cribley of Warrenton, Virginia, all grandchildren and great grandchildren of Dora Henry. It was wonderful to see them all.

Marilyn Henry had an emergency operation in Great Falls the week before Thanksgiving and developed some complications following, including a blood clot in her leg. We send prayers that she recovers and can enjoy the Christmas season.

Wink and Terri Cole enjoyed Thanksgiving with son Steve's family in Malta and then the day after at daughter Kathy's in Denton.

The ladies served a lovely lunch at the Wathatau Center this week, but attendance was poor, everyone is busy going someplace.

The weather has again turned cold and snowy. We have had fog again some mornings and roads have been good and bad. Sunday saw several inches of new, soft, fluffy snow, and it snowed most of the day. Hopefully the New Year will bring some nicer weather.

Continued get well wishes are sent to Richard Gilmore who has been in Billings for treatment. He too has suffered some setbacks and more health problems.

Get well wishes and prayers are sent to Jessie Hawley for her health problems. The community wishes her well.

Birthday greetings are sent to all having a birthday in this cold weather. Anniversary greetings are sent to Robert and Patty Dolphy and others with an anniversary.

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.

Have a good week, keep warm and drive carefully.
