Malta Middle School held their school Spelling Bee last week and the students above were the top placers who will move on to the County Bee. The table is nearly set, Malta Elementary and Dodson Public Schools will add the final contestants this week, ahead of the annual Phillips County Spelling Bee to be held in Dodson on Wednesday, February 5.
Contestants from Saco, Whitewater, and Malta Middle Schools competed at their school spellings bee's last week and Carter Pippin (Saco), Ava Hanley (Whitewater), and Sadie Branham (MMS) all took first place honors and will advance to February's county bee.
