One Nation, Under God
Beware, everyone, of the terrible Corona Virus! Although it started in China, the germs spread all over the world! Now there is a patient in Bozeman, Mont., who they suspect has the virus! Since my granddaughter, Chalise, is living in Bozeman, this sickness is a real concern to me and many others who have family in Bozeman. Let’s pray they find a cure or treatment soon.
Here in Whitewater, we heard that Mark Lageson went to Boston, Mass., to visit family.
Carrie and Jesse Simonson took their children to Florida…wow! What fun!
Sally Austin’s ranch workers vaccinated cattle for “bangs” cattle disease. Von Holzhey was one of the ranch hands there.
Although it is winter, it is lambing time at the Jeanie Green’s. She recently delivered twin lambs! Jeanie now has indoor cameras so she can watch the sheep without having to go outside. Years ago, my father and other sheep men sure did not have the neat, modern equipment like today. I raised many “bum” lambs on a bottle. They are so cute!
Hello to my Hutterite friends from the Loring Colony who visited Whitewater recently. Many, including Mary, are great bakers of pie, cookies, and the like. They even make pickles, jams and buns.
On Thursday, Jeanie, Patty Young, and myself went to Sleeping Buffalo to swim. Gale Young (my daughter) met us there. The water in the hot pool was wonderful.
We had dinner at the North 40, also.
Reminder: Whitewater has its own library at the North 40 Café. There are a variety of books there.
Whitewater School had a spelling bee so a late congratulations to Ava Hanley and all the participants.
Now, WHS Penguins and most of the county teams are involved in basketball. Good luck to all.
In Whitewater, it snowed again. I’m looking forward to spring, aren’t you all. Keep warm.
As always,
Helen A.
