One Nation, Under God

Loring News for January 1, 2020

During this past week the ice in my yard pretty much all melted just in time for the new snow to lay on bare ground in piles! I think it must have dropped about 6-8 inches on Saturday!

I took my watercolor paintings to the Harlem Seed Show this weekend. It was a good experience, many nice comments on my work. The other artists who were there were awesome! The whole show is very well run, but due to the coronavirus, state basketball tourneys and the weather, the number of visitors were down this year! Dorothy Johnson from the Sweet Home in Chinook stopped in to see my art and visit. I also saw Ray McMullen and Perry Dolphy and Cindy and David Clark from Loring making the rounds of displays and booths.

Jeannie Schroeder, Saige, and Zoey Stordahl came up from Billings to visit for the weekend and celebrate Rodney Stordahl’s birthday. They had a safe trip back to Billings.

I stopped in at the Whitewater School one day last week visiting with Diana Engel and Lynn Hill. Then I went down to Lu Besel’s for a short visit before coming home. On Wednesday I made a quick trip to Malta and had lunch with DollyAnne Wilcutt then stopped in at the MOI open house! What a nice space for them!

I suppose I can't let this go by without mentioning the disruption of the coronavirus is making to all of our lives. Montana Schools are closed for two weeks, all big gatherings have been canceled. Prayers for all the people affected by this virus. Tell your loved ones that you love them!
