Malta City Hall closed to the public, council meeting canceled

City Hall services still offered to the public: ONLINE ONLY

Malta Mayor John Demarais has announced that Malta City Hall will be closed to the public starting Monday, March 23 and that this week’s Tuesday Malta City Council Meeting (March 24) has been canceled according to a letter released from the City.

“We are reaching out with empathy during these challenging times,” Mayor Demarais’ letter states. “So far, we have had no reported cases of COVID-19 in the City of Malta and we ask everyone to be vigilant in best practices.”

Malta City Hall will continue to offer all of their services by phone (406-654-1251) and email ([email protected]) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-through-Friday. City Hall currently provides remote payment options by phone, by mail and online. Payments can be dropped-off in the drop off box located on the front of City Hall. There is a doorbell located to the right of the front door on City Hall to ring if assistance is needed from the staff in the City Clerk's Office.
