April 1, 1920

Mrs. C. Weikle had retired president of the Malta Woman's Club and Mrs. O. W. McDowell, wife of the superintendent of the Malta Schools, was elected to succeed her. Mrs. James LeNoir was elected vice president; Mrs. Harrison Brown, corresponding secretary; Mrs. F. W. Hall, treasurer, and Mrs. Harry Whitcomb, auditor.

Undersheriff Wolf and Jailer McNeil made a haul of bootleg liquor north of town from Charles Logan who was later released under $500 bond. The liquor confiscated included a keg and several smaller containers full.
