One Nation, Under God

Loring News for May 13, 2020

Spring weather is its usual unpredictable mix. We had nice warm temps close to 70 degrees, then cool, 30, downpours of rain, a little grapple, and plenty of wind! The moon is on its way to new and the whole month will be the last time to see Venus in the evening for some time. It will be visible in the early morning sky during the summer.

I’ve been working at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum a couple of days this week. Cary Woodruff is working at getting the museum cleaned and I got some merchandise ordered. We will be opening shortly.

The mothers were given carnations at Mother's Day church service in Loring. We are practicing the regulations to ward off the coronavirus.

Lu Besel was a guest of mine for Mother's Day lunch! It was fun to have a guest! I hope all the other mothers had a good day!

The newer arrivals in my yard are the flycatcher who usually builds a nest in the eves on my deck. I've seen the brown thrasher and the goldfinches! I'm having trouble with the starlings cleaning out my feeders and not letting the other birds in.

We've got a few antelope hanging around this area. I'm just waiting for a glimpse of a baby. They are so leggy, but can run fast!

Loring Bible Study will be at Dixie Stordahl’s on Wednesday! Please come if you are around!

Sympathy to the family of Judy Rustad. She was a wonderful person and friend to many!

Until next week, be safe!
